PASSION, PRIDE, AND HEART
Alberto León’s mural to motivate and encourage the fans, management, and players of CD Tenerife.
He addressed them with the following message:
CD Tenerife is the team of my land, of my home, a direct link to my childhood, to my parents, grandparents, and my family in general.
Seeing the team in this situation hurts me a lot; week after week, the wound gets bigger. Luckily, the arrival of Rayco García has come at the best time and has brought light to the Club (His luck will be ours).
I don’t know what strength and what reach this message can have, I can’t know, all I intend is to support and be with the team and tell them publicly not to give up, to please FORGET about the standings, forget about the press and social media, FORGET about the criticism and radically change their mentality, to limit themselves only to competing, we already know that sport is psychological.
I ask them to look at each other’s faces in that locker room, to focus on becoming strong as a group, to be united, to focus on their strengths to overcome the rival, and to play again as they did when they were children, with SOUL!!
I refuse to think that this team is dead, there is a whole second half of the season ahead, and I would love to see 11 gladiators giving their lives on the field, players who believe that they can get out of there.
There is time to redirect the situation and there are many points at stake!! Many!!
