In this canvas titled The 27 Club, Alberto León pays tribute to the musical figures who are part of this mythical and tragic group. Applying his characteristic technique of torn posters, paint, and collage on a worn wall background, the work presents Jim Morrison as the central figure, painted and occupying almost the entire vertical format.

Around him, in fragments of torn posters, appear the faces of Amy Winehouse, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, and Brian Jones, treated as images faded by the passage of time. In the center of the composition, the number 27 stands out in red and in large size, forcefully marking the age that unites them and the symbolic weight of the whole. The work oscillates between tribute and reflection, where the iconic and the ephemeral coexist in constant tension.
