FIRST LOVE

First Love is the first mural in Alberto León’s series of the same name, where innocence and spontaneity give shape to scenes that are as tender as they are unsettling. In this work, a child appears in profile, urinating with complete naturalness while drawing a heart on the wall with his pee. Nothing explicit is shown, only the symbolic gesture of an innocent affection. Nearby, a girl covers her face with her hands, caught between shame and laughter at what she is witnessing. León thus inaugurates the series by portraying childhood love in its freest and most awkward form, where the romantic mixes with the play and irreverence of the early years.
