FORREST GUMP

This large canvas is a visual tribute to the story of a man who went through decades without realizing that he himself was history. Forrest Gump appears sitting in the center, with his lost, almost innocent gaze, as if he did not understand the noise he generates around him. To the right, his image as a football player recalls his improbable feats, while in the center, John Lennon connects us with the peace and surrealism of chance encounters. In the upper left, Kennedy observes him as part of that real absurdity that was his life.

The iconic box of Russell Stover chocolates sneaks in as a symbol of chance and destiny. The entire background, formed by collages of worn American posters, reddish, blue, and white colors, evokes a dirty but alive wall, full of popular memory. The result is a visual explosion between nostalgia and urban pop, where each figure reinforces the idea that history is not always made by those who want to, but by those who simply run.
