THE LAST SUPPER
In this unique version of The Last Supper, Alberto León brings together his major artistic influences in a vibrant and chaotic scene, reimagining the iconic table with names like Dalí, Velázquez, Frida Kahlo, Monet, Goya, Picasso, Pollock, Van Gogh, Banksy, Warhol, Basquiat, Keith Haring, and, of course, Leonardo da Vinci presiding in the center.
They all share food and drink in an atmosphere of camaraderie and creative disorder. Banksy integrates surprisingly into the celebration, while Warhol, relaxed, lies on the floor next to Basquiat. On the left, Keith Haring, with a plastic cup in his mouth, leaves the scene as he is stopped by a policeman, referring to his famous urban interventions in the New York subways.
The work exists in two vibrant versions, lime green and fuchsia, which underscore the explosive energy and contrast of personalities gathered at this banquet of geniuses, where art history becomes an irreverent and lively party. At the top you can read Art school, the school of art.
